This quick-start guide supplements the model’s safety manual. Check the reference on your device and follow the instructions supplied with your unit.
Measure at the forehead
- Turn on the thermometer using the measurement button. Select adult or child forehead mode with the mode button.
- Aim at the centre of the forehead, between the eyebrows, from 0 to 3 cm away. Press the measurement button.
- Wait about 10 seconds between readings to avoid warming the sensor.
Switch to ear mode
- Remove the probe cap: ear mode is selected automatically. Position the probe without forcing it, following the manual, then press the measurement button.
- Follow the limits in the full FARMAQO manual: ear mode from one year of age; do not use on newborns.
Use object mode
- Select object mode, identified by the house icon. Aim at the surface from 0 to 3 cm away and press the measurement button.
- The illustrated guide shows a feeding bottle. This is a surface reading: never immerse the probe in bath water or another liquid. Do not use this mode for body temperature.
Adjust sound and units
- With the thermometer on, touch the sound button to enable or mute the beep. The corresponding icon indicates silent mode.
- Hold the same button for 5 seconds to switch between °C and °F.
Connect VitaConnect
- Enable an Internet connection and Bluetooth on your phone. Install “VitaConnect” from the App Store or Google Play.
- Open the app, select sign-up and create an account with your email address and a password.
- Choose “Add device”, then the infrared thermometer. Turn on the thermometer and start the connection in the app. Wait for confirmation.
- Take a measurement using the device. The value then appears in the app. The supplementary leaflet also describes the history and profile under “Me”, then “Personal data”.
